We are looking for a Chief of Staff to act as a true extension of the COO and help drive the company forward. You will take ownership of high-priority projects across strategy, operations, finance, HR, Marketing and execution. Your mission is to anticipate, organize, and remove bottlenecks so the company can move faster. You will work closely with the founders, structure internal processes, and ensure key decisions turn into reality. This is a unique opportunity to shape a fast-scaling deep-tech startup and operate at the heart of strategic decision-making. This role is a launchpad toward future C-level positions as the company grows and departments are structured. Over time, you will progressively lead your own scope with your own team.

Key Responsibilities
Founder Support : Work alongside with founders to define company priorities, structure planning, and drive high-importance projects across teams to completion.
Process & Productivity Scaling: Build processes across all teams, implement internal tooling, deploy AI-driven automations, structure reporting, and ensure that workflows scale with headcount and complexity.
Financial Structuring & Cost Modeling : Update & maintain the Business Plan to give clear financial visibility. Coordinate financial processes with accountants and legal advisors. ensure proper reporting, and build the company’s cost accounting framework. Extend cost-analysis to partners’ fab processes, in coordination with partners, to understand sources of manufacturing costs & levers of optimization, and support negotiations.
People & HR Operations: Manage hiring pipelines, coordinate interviews, structure onboarding, implement HR policies, ensure compliance with employment regulations as the team grows, and help shape a strong and positive company culture.
IT & Security Governance: Enforce & improve IT policy and best practices, and ensure compliance with client requirements while maintaining operational efficiency.
Grant & Program Management: Lead the preparation, submission, and reporting of major public grants, coordinating partners and structuring work packages.
CSR & Sustainability: Lead ESG initiatives, track environmental impact, ensure responsible sourcing, and maintain compliance with EU sustainability requirements.
Ecosystem Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitors, technology developments, and potential partners; prepare strategic briefs that guide decisions and positioning.
Marketing : Prepare high-quality presentations, briefs, company updates, press releases and materials for internal decision-making. Manage external communication across website, social networks.

You communicate clearly, think rigorously, and aren’t afraid to challenge ideas to find the best solution. You move fast, maintain high standards, and stay composed under pressure. Above all, you are motivated by the opportunity to work closely with founders in a deeptech startup and grow into a future leadership role as the company scales.
Key Qualifications
Master’s degree (M2) or Engineering or Business (Grande École, MSc, MBA, or equivalent international degree all welcome.)
5y+ experience in similar roles (eg. Chief of Staff, Strategy consultant, COO..)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex technical, operational, and economic topics and turn them into clear actions.
Comfort working across technical, operational, and financial topics, with a willingness to learn quickly and dive into new subjects.
High level of autonomy, reliability, and professionalism, able to represent the founders when needed.
Outstanding written and verbal communication, capable of producing high-quality materials for both internal & external communication
Fluency in English and French.

Previous exposure to fabrication processes in semiconductor industry
Previous experience in fast-growing deeptech startup
Experience with public-grant writing & follow-up, or consortium projects
